Declarative sentence คือ อะไร ตอบ Declarative sentence คือ ประโยคบอกเล่า หมายถึง ประโยคที่บอกข้อมูลหรือแสดงข้อความบอกเล่า เช่น
Sue is going to school on foot.
Mike is riding his bicycle to school.
Sue is going to school on foot, but Mike is riding his bicycle to school.
The boat hit a big rock.
The boat sank to the bottom of the river.
The boat hit a big rock, and it slowly sank to the bottom of the river.
When the boat hit a rock, it slowly sank to the bottom of the river.
All of those trees will be cut down.
การเปลี่ยนประโยคเหล่านี้ให้มีรูปและความหมายปฏิเสธทำได้โดย
1. เติม not ในประโยค ดังนี้
ประโยคที่เป็น present simple tense ต้องใช้ do/does ช่วยในประโยค เช่น
The boy gets up at six o’clock on weekends.
The boy does not get up at six o’clock on weekends.
I play tennis on Saturdays.
I do not play tennis on Saturdays.
ประธานของประโยคเป็นบุรุษที่ 3 เอกพจน์ ต้องใช้ does + not + V base form
ประธานของประโยคเป็นบุรุษที่ 3 พหูพจน์ บุรุษที่ 1 หรือ บุรุษที่ 2 ให้ใช้
do + not + V base form
ประโยคที่เป็น past simple tense ต้องใช้ did ช่วยในประโยค ดังนี้
The boy got up at six o’clock yesterday.
The boy did not get up at six o’clock yesterday.
The boys got up at six o’clock yesterday.
The boys did not get up at six o’clock yesterday.
I played tennis last Saturday.
I did not play tennis last Saturday.
ใช้ did + not + V base form ได้กับประธานของประโยคทุกเพศและบุรุษ
ประโยคที่เป็น tense อื่น ๆ ซึ่งมีกริยาช่วยอยู่แล้ว ให้ใส่ not หลังกริยาช่วย
ถ้ามีกริยาช่วยมากกว่า 1 ตัว ใส่ not หลังกริยาช่วยตัวแรก ในประโยค ดังนี้
The students are doing their homework.
The students are not doing their homework.
The teacher has written the words on the board.
The teacher has not written the words on the board.
Sandra will go to the party.
Sandra will not go to the party.
Norma has been working for the company since 2009.
Norma has not been working for the company since 2009.
2. ใช้คำที่ให้ความหมายเป็นปฏิเสธเติมในประโยค เช่นคำต่อไปนี้ rarely, seldom,
never, etc. ซึ่งมักจะเป็น simple tense โดยวางคำเหล่านี้ไว้หน้ากริยา ดังตัวอย่างต่อไปนี้
Wendy plays tennis on Saturdays.
Wendy rarely plays tennis on Saturdays.
Peter goes to the beach on Sundays.
Peter seldom goes to the beach on Sundays.
Sandy played tennis on Saturdays.
Sandy never played tennis on Saturdays.
